MY JOURNEY
I've been interested in alternative forms of healing such as, crystal healing, colour therapy, sound therapy, hypnosis, therapeutic touch, etc., since I was a child. I've read extensively on these and other spiritual subjects all my life. When I had my son, Joshua, at the age of 20, I had a captive audience to practice a lot of these principles on and with. He is now 26 and has been using colour to help heal himself all his life. That's him over there with my goddaughter Robyn at her elementary school graduation. |

That's me and John, he's my absolute best friend, we've known each other since we were fifteen. He's the reason I became a Reiki practitioner. You see, John was diagnosed with Stage IV non-hodgkins lymphoma and was told without treatment he wouldn't last 2 months. He began a hellish series of chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy and finally a stem-cell transplant which required a month of isolation in the hospital. |
Scary stuff but with determination, a positive attitude, reiki on a daily basis and the smile you see on his face here, he came through it and is now in remission!! He's my hero!
I became attuned to Reiki for very practical reasons but after working with it came to realize that it is not only a method of healing but a path of spiritual enlightenment. Reiki has been a blessing in my life and in the lives of the people I know and love.
